This past weekend I decided to take my 6 day old Evo X on a trip to visit my best friend in Las Vegas from Stockton California. Without all the fun I had, the trip should have been roughly 8 hours. It took me 12 hours each way

cutting thru the Sierra I decided to pose for some pics



it was such a beautiful drive






challenge was accepted




did a number on my clutch, but damn I had fun!



this was the view for a very very long time.


then started the drive home. raced a dinan 5 and took it by like 2 cars.



but when u drive like that, it causes this...speeding ticket, in nevada. not bad tho, only 77 dollars compared to my last one in cali in my 8 that cost me 417



finally got back into california :/
lol u can definitely tell by the roads, where ur at.


took her off roading for a good 4 mile run next to the freeway, this car is a dream in gravel mode!


who says only sti's go offroad?! my undertray got ripped off, been meaning to take that off anyways haha


u know how on road trips, u like to get the most out of ur tank? well i pushed it, and stopped at a gas station with prolly 40 miles left in my tank. pull up, go to pay in unknown city not even on the map, guess what they have? diesel and 87 lol. had to hop back in to the nearest station which was about 60 miles away. didnt think i was gonna make it!!



then started the night time fun! i was stationed in japan for 4 years, and have traveled thru some of the best canyons in the US but state route 89 is by far thee best drive ive done. scary as hell, and fun as ****! lol. and i did it at night :/


this is how it was, signs did not lie, but it was fun!



all in all, the trip to and from vegas was more exciting than my time in vegas, maybe im getting old lol. thanks for checking out my thread.

I didnt leave til friday afternoon and didnt get there til late. I didnt even think about it tho, my best friend has an 8. i'll have to remember that next time i head out somewhere since i travel a lot

 

awe...the cop coulda let u go ... u dont even have any plates yet.. tell him u were..testing its safety features

yea.. speedin tickets are no joke... you gotta be careful out there and get you a radar detector

 

i got one after my last ticket, but left it in my 8

 

that picture where you did anumber on your clutch but had fun... i have no idea what i'm looking at....looks like a 3d puzzle you stare at and something jumps out at you.

its funny u say that evostare, my best friend told me "u drive the 10 way different than u drive ur 8. the 8 u cruise and chill, u seem like u want to break the 10"


what happens in vegas, stays in vegas...what happens on the way to and from vegas, goes on the forums :P

honestly we didnt go out much in the cars..mostly walking.

yeah i was pretty pissed, i actually took the time to reattach it after i did my headlights. i didnt really notice until i heard this loud slapping noise, which was the last piece just dangaling there
