License plate

I've tried the 3m automotive foam tape (the one with the red backing) and it sorta works, but I've had two knowledgeable people tell me that it's not a great idea. Anyone here have any suggestions? I've looked into the tow hook mount, and if so, where in the NJ area is the best place to have that installed (I'd rather avoid welding something myself).

Thanks

I zip-tied mine to the front, yeah it does block a little portion of my FMIC but beat getting pulled over for stupid stuff like that. Plus you can always take it off, just make sure you add some padding between it or its going to scratch your plastic bumper.

I would rather avoid doing that. Any other suggestions?

This involves drilling though. I could just use the OEM plate frame if I wanted to do that

Its one less hole and at least it looks ok, unlike the blocky stock piece. You could always use a heavy duty chemical adhesive but I don't know how that would act on your paint. You actually might wanna ask a really good paint shop or email/call a high end body shop and ask what options they have/have used.

I've seen a link somewhere of a flip down front plate that goes underneath your front bumper lip area. It folds back and up if you don't want it and can fold down for cops or whatever.

The link eludes me at the moment.

I would take a look at the Vivid Racing "hide-a-way" plate brackets. They have a mechanical one, and a remote controlled power one. I bought one for my X, with the intent of mounting it under the front lip in front in the front (I have the aero kit), but sorry, no pics, still have not gotten to it lol

ive had a couple friends with that license plate, unfortunately since the roads here are like craters to narnia and since some of us are lowered, if we hit a pothole at the right angel that motorized plate is not gonna hold up.

You might end up running back to get your plate when u notice it broke off Lol
