Average battery life? Or different problem?
Average battery life? Or different problem?
Hey everyone.
Kinda funny posting this just when another guy posts a battery issue thread.
Anyway...I was leaving work today when I tried starting the car. Turned the key once and got the standard stutter when you start a car, but no actual start. Tried it again and same result. Third time I held the key turned for an extra 3 or so seconds and it finally started...slowly...Is this a battery issue? Something else? Just a random incident?
The car has about 13.5k miles on it and I bought it used. The previous owner put on his old cars worn out winter tires, so maybe he swapped batteries? Car had about 12.4k miles on it when I got it from dealer.
Once the car was started and on the road it drove fine. Got home and turned it off, then 20 seconds later turned it on just fine. Just got back from the gym and again it started and drove fine.
Was this a fluke or what? Just trying to be safe...If it happens again I'll obviously take it into the dealer.
At work I park in a garage, but the hood gets some sun if that makes a difference?
Thanks everyone!

The battery is in the trunk on an evo x. Batteries can go bad anytime! Take it to autozone or advaced and have them test it for you. Maybe something was left on in the car to drain the battery down. IT wouldnt also hurt to make sure the battery terminals are tight and corrosion free.
