Evo in the snow.
Hes not saying hes not going to drive his Evo in the snow, hes asking if it will still tear thru the snow with no issue like it should with the larger wheels.
I personally woud probably get a cheaper set of rims and some snow tires, the 19's MIGHT get you through, but my guess is its a low profile summer tire on there so I dont know how comfortable I would be driving it on those if you get a decent amount of snow throughout the winter.
I wonder, do stock Evo 8 or 9 wheels fit the X? If so maybe look into some 8 wheels to get you through the winter?

And No. Evo 8 or 9 wheels will not fit the X.
@ evogely - Get some snow tires - either 19s or 18s with stock rims - and enjoy the snow. I have enjoyed rinnung blizzaks the past two winters.
Blizzaks = "The ****"!
The only thing is if you run a winter setup with different rims, you'll either have to get a second set of TMPS sensors and have to reflash them every time you swap the rims and tires or deal with the idiot light on the display.
And honestly, after spending the money on a 2nd set of sensors, I'm thinking I might have been better off just dealing with the light for the winter. Especially since the Blizzaks I got are run-flats...

I may be wrong, but I don't think this is possible: the donuts do not clear the front caliper.
Again, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe if you get a flat in the front you must first swap a rear wheel from the same side to the front since the donut only fits on the back.
