Evo in the snow.

I'm getting ready to purchase Evo X that will have 19" wheels and I'm pretty sure I don't want to drive in the snow with 19" wheel, so I'm looking for suggestions.

Or should I not drive in the snow at all? FWIW, I love driving my Eclipse in the snow.

Than you will LOOOVVVEE driving the Evo in the snow. I would think that the 19's would be ok it you have really good snow tires, but we don't get a whole lot of snow down here so I'm not the best source for that info...

19" vs. 18" wheels will make no difference, but you'll want to get a winter tire on there if the currents are summers...

+1. Don't ruin some nice rims if the previous owner got some nice ones I would prolly pick up some stock wheels and use those for winter wheels.

I don't believe anyone has found steelies to fit the X. The calipers are too large.

This. If the 19s are wider than stock, they're going to make your life more difficult in the snow.

The day that my Evo is paid off I'm buying a Jeep. Those of us that lower our cars for track use do not have enough ground clearance for the Winter.

You'll want real snow tires anyway...my advice is to find someone selling a set of stock rims with snow tires right now...can probably get a better price in the Summer.

Definitely get smaller wheels = smaller less expensive snow tires.
