Best boost controller
I couldnt find much info on boost controllers just where some guys use a manual one cause there cheap and work. Would it be best to use a electronic one so adjustments could be made from inside the car? Ive read that guys just install a boost pill and turn boost up but dont tune, is there a safe amount of boost to run without tuning?
I have a turbosmart eBoost 2 in my X but it's very complicated to operate, at least in my opinion. Not sure if I'd recommend it yet, seeing I am going to take it in for a tune- we'll see how well the controller does then.
Headd that man bost cons don't run great with the tens. I had the turbo smart too hated it. Switched to a Greddy profect-b and love it and its easy use. Running 68-71% on stock turbo with full exhaust and intake stock turbo and injectors. Makes 22.5ish peak and about 19-20 constantly. IMO get the tune and be safe/make more power.

Boost controllers are so 2008 on our cars.
Use what ever suits your driving needs/style the most. I went with a Open Ecu tune with boost controlled via ECU. I will be upgrading to a 3 port bcs and a few other parts later.

Any good one is going to function about the same. Grimspeed, Pierburg, Perrin, etc. I went with the GS since it was plug & play and included a mounting bracket. I think the Pierburg (Cobb, CBRD, Tactrix, plus others sell this one) is also PnP with a mounting tab of some sort.
Man, I agree with this 100%. I have the GM. You can not go wrong with ECU boost and a 3 port for sure. You get so much greater control.
