Clutch is already gone...
My 2011 X has 2250 miles on it, and the clutch is already out. I launched this car one time at the 1500 mile mark, and thats it. Didnt drive it hard at all, and did not ride the clutch. The clutch was so bad that I had to get it towed to the South Coast dealership. Now they want to charge $1200 to look at the car, and $2k for installing a new clutch. Is there anything else i can do to not spend over 3k$ on a car that has a little over 2000 miles?

^^^Did the pedal become really light? Was there the smell of burnt clutch when you were driving the car around? Maybe the clutch is in fact faulty, IMO you have nothing to lose by contacting exedy, so do it. I feel for you cause nobody should have to go through this on such a new vehicle
Maybe after 20k miles the factory can call it a wear item, but it's not reasonable for a clutch to go out after 2k miles, seems like something is wrong. I would pressure them to honor a replacement under warranty.
normally doesn't bother with wear and tear items, at least not from the threads here. you gotta find a real friendly dealer to even have them bother with you talking about warranty on the evo. i've seen cases where there was something fundamentally wrong with the clutch, so that it wasn't engaged all the way and causing excess wear during normal driving. however, some acquaintances of mine claim they "don't ride the clutch" when in fact they do, unconsciously, during normal driving as well. at 2250 miles though, i'd say argue for it.
not trying to be a d*** or anything but is this your first manual car? also what technique did u use to launch ur car? with the high engagement point, its very easy to slip the clutch more than necessary because my clutch is still giong strong (knock on wood) at about 20k. but like everyone said try to get mitsu to warranty it!!
