So my delearship finally got back to me regarding info about my 2011 RR GSR. However, they informed me that they were not able to find a new 2011 RR GSR and that the manufacturer has ceased making them. They asked me to either switch to a PB or WW or wait until the 2012 is released. Does anyone have any information about whether they have stopped making 2011s or when the 2012s will be released?

 

Not 100% but I'm pretty sure they are done shipping 2011s.

 

I thought the Evo was discontinued. What 2012 model are they referring to?

 

Its not discontinued. They'll keep making them until 2013.

 

All I know is that 2012 is stated to be the last year for the Evo X.

 

Yea I would just wait for a 2012 then. There has to be ONE red evo left in the whole country though. Maybe it's just easier for them/they can get a better deal on a white or black one.

Do you currently own an Evo or is that just in your sig?

 

I just found 16 '11 Rally red X's on Auto trader in 10 seconds. Just do more searching.

 

I checked cars.com and saw 16 lol. I just realized he's in Canada so maybe that's why they are out.

 

^ yup sorry but ya, Im in Canada so i dont know. Autotrader.ca has 0 I checked but I usually just go to dealerships for this stuff. Should I just go for the Phantom Black? (not a fan of white cars) I really want my Evo before summer is over.

 

2011's still coming over. From what I have heard a fair number of almost finished cars are at the factory awaiting parts that have been on short supply from vendors impacted by the earthquake in northern Japan. Don't know what parts though.

2012's are currently on the board to ship in late August.

My dealer said they are done with production for a while because of the events in Japan.

 

Don't settle for a car you aren't 100% satisfied with. It'll be worth the wait to get what you want.


















































Even though PB is a great choice.

 

cars are still coming in, at least to the states. Alot of dealers got a shipment in during July. I know this because I've been checking cars.com and autotrader looking for a MR to buy and saw them pop up across the country. I have reserved a PB MR arriving August 15, so I know more are still coming in. It was not a special order or anything, just expected inventory.

 

Just keep looking. You will find what you are looking for. Like others have said, don't settle for something, just wait till you ind the car you are looking for.

 

Just wait... 2012s come in this fall... Mitsu usually has new year Evos every October
