New to the neighborhood

I purchased a Graphite Gray 2011 GSR last week (#93)... since this is the last year before they butcher them.

The experience has been phenomenal since day one! I was diagnosed with a terrible back injury ten years ago, and ever since then I couldn't drive a car for more than two hours straight w/o being totally out of commission the next day... that is until I've got my evo!

For the first time in ten years I can actually enjoy the freedom of the drive, and what better way than in an evo.

I've been perusing the threads over the past few weeks, and I have to say thanks... this is a great resource, you guys really know your stuff.

My first mod is a Takeda Retain Short Ram Intake, and I've already dropped some bucks at autogeek for my new cleaning routine.

I just wanted to say hello and give my thanks, and I'm looking forward to being avid member!

There are definitely gains to be had from SRIs on the X. ETS has some comparison threads that illustrate it.

Thanks, I wanted something simple for my first mod... if you can suggest something better I'm all ears (this is my DD). I'm not looking to go too overboard yet, I'm trying to start small to test my boundaries with the dealership with the warranty... wish I was in Cali, seems much more acceptable.

If you get a tune the stock air box is efficient enough.

This isn't 100% confirmed yet. There have been two very shaky rumors about it. If there is great, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.
