2011 MR HEADLAMP HID-help
Well had to replace some things and found some issues. Does anyone know the green wire that is shown in the pic below? I believe its the grounding wire. Thanks for your input. As you can see we had to go through alot just to get to those lamps.






If I remember correctly there should be a male metal tab that it connects to inside the weather cap (plastic circle cap that you unscrewed to gain access to the igniter and bulb).

yes I think i broke it off on accident...Do you know if this is something that we can do to fix or do i have to get a whole new lamp housing.
I believe this ground has to be within the system where is was located before but you have the right idea. Also, if my last statement isn't true, then in order to extend far enough to the chassis, he would have to drill his weather cap to pass a wire through. I would suggest either cutting the green off and attach a fish eye wire connector and attach it to one of those Philips head screws where the original tab was located. If it doesn't reach efficiently to that location then you would have to solder a short loose piece of wire in able to reach that location.

Yup ill get pics later for you guys i cut the wire and spliced in another wire and made it into a ground and mounted it underneath a fender bolt now his LIGHTS WORK AGAIN. I think he broke it off and Im not about spending stupid money on another housing NOT ABOUT THAT LIFE. So his new 11 EVOX MR is back in action. NOW JUST WAITING ON SOME ETS intercooler and pipping
