I have 3k for fogs as well. between the 3k fogs and my 10k FX-R projectors, I light up more than any other car I've seen. And it looks pretty sweet too I think. It isn't too hard to pull the bumper, but that's the only bad part. Other than that it's an easy install.

I bought my bulbs and HID kit for the fogs from DDM Tuning. Great service and never had an issue with their stuff. The kits have a lifetime guarantee and they have great service with that. All my friends and coworkers run their stuff and have only had one bad ballast and what we thought were bad bulbs but come to find out just have the connections backwards. But they sent out two new bulbs without even asking for the old bulbs. They did ask for the ballast before sending a new one. I haven't had an issue yet though. Website is www.ddmtuning.com Use the slim ballast DDM kit. Best bang for buck.

I am running VVME 55W 5000K HID Kit. You can get them on ebay. So far that have been running for 2 year and no problems. Great price point. They are very bright. The factory fog light hosing/reflector is really conservative (compared to other fogs), so the light output does not span out a large range.

(these are the ones i have)

I recommend taking off the front bumper, to install them cause it make life alot easier and allows you to route the wires better. You dont need to remove the bumper, just recommended.
I recommend running the HID off a relay, especially if your going to run a 55watt kit. You can get relay kits on ebay that are plug and play, which makes it really easy to install.

I'm also running the 35W 3000K kit from this company and so far no issues. At first I was running their 5000K and they're way too blue for my preference. Prior to this digital ballast, I was running one of those more expensive yet cheaper quality 35W kits from China and I encountered a problem where one side would sometimes not turn on. I added a relay kit and it solved the problem for awhile, but it started doing it again and it was annoying. Never had any issues after I switched to the DDM set even without a relay kit

I don't think I have any pics of the install. The install itself was probably at a moderate level of difficulty mainly because it's so hard to get them perfectly aligned when you retrofit them. Mine actually point out a little bit, but they are symmetrical and I think it actually helps the field of vision a little. But I was driving behind my buddy with his stock X HIDs and mine completely engulfed his and you could tell just how much better they were, it wasn't even a comparison.

For the fogs I just did a simple 35 watt kit. Didn't want to hassle with another wiring harness and relay and what not and they are plenty bright for fogs. I'm not sure how well fog housing would handle 55 watt either. But like I said, the 35 is plenty and the whole setup looks really good.
