In all honestly... I would go with whichever one is going to give you the most enjoyment. If you can shoot the gun on the regular and it's a hobby, it's not a bad way to go. If your into modifying the car, I would go with the intercooler.

go for the gun... love my SA Loaded 1911 blk / stainless steel.. i live in Cali & wish we could carry. i see sum of u guys mention more than 10rds, in Cali I WISH!!! like people have mentioned sum of the safest states allow u to carry & conceal... and if u think about, if u know a dude could possibly be packing u'll think twice about messin w/ him, hence the safer states.... and even if u cant carry, home invasions happen wether u like it or not, bein able to protect the fam is always a good thing...

Either of those choices are great handguns, though if youre looking for a "carry" gun, I just picked up a Kel Tec PF9. Smaller, thinner, lighter and cheaper than the ones you mentioned. Single stack 9mm 7+1 capacity. And you can add a belt clip to the side so you dont need a holster.

(not mine but similar)
Guns are tools, if your aim is to carry it every day, then find something that is comfortable (small and light) to wear. If it's something you want to take to the range to have fun, get something a little larger. If it's not leaving the nightstand, get something big and nasty lol

Firearm all the way......your ride already has an intercooler on it and can wait for an upgraded one.
Gun choice is really personal preference...what fits you best, what it is going to be used for, etc.
I have run over 3000 rds. through my Springfield XD(M) .40 and not one single jam to date. They are def. a solid firearm.
