Monthly payment

I have been tossing around the idea of a used 08 X. I currently pay around 375 a month on the RA. I have found several X's with around 30K miles with price tags that would put me at a 400.00 a month payment. Do you guys think that it would be worth the extra amount going up to the EVO? I have paid a year on the RA already so it would go back to a 6 year loan. I know insurance will be the bigger difference.

Just looking for some feedback. Thanks!

You'll also be chugging more fuel. Gotta think about that too.

You will definitely get a higher insurance rate and possibly more gas as well. But if you dont care much about those, switching over to an EVO is the way to go.

for a $25 jump per month is seems like a no brainer, but take into account the insurance and fuel differences. depending on how you drive expect 17-20 mpg.

I paid 550 but I try to dump 700 monthly on it to finish faster. I also spend about ~$48 weekly on gas and my insurance went up $10

Phishy that's not bad at all for your jump in insurance. Really the gas prices I am not too concerned with. It's just one of those things that we will always have to pay. The kicker like you guys say is the insurance. I am going to give my company a call or look myself online to see what the damage would be. I am 28 and married with no tickets. However my wife got one a couple to three years ago. She is also 24 turns 25 next month. Maybe that will help us out.

If you're married with a clean record I don't think you have much to worry about.

I had a 350z convertible before the ralliart and a S2000 before that. I kind of miss the manual trans and torque of the Z. I think the EVO should be a good fit again. I just thought I could get the RA and mod it but now I don't know if I should put a lot into it if I will still end up wanting the EVO.

I do like the RA though and want to stay with the Mitsubishi family.

I had a ralliart and I swapped to an evo x. my payments went up a bit of course. but at the same time, my insurance actually dropped $10.

Give your insurance a call. I've been with Mercury forever and they are always the lowest whenever I shop around. They've insured my Civic, R6, Evo 8 and now the X. Always cheapest and best coverage over anyone else.

Kracka that's cool, they are fun little cars. I had an AP1 and loved the 9K redline.

H4ckluserr how in the world did that happen lol. What company do you use?

I just traded my 2010 ralliart that i was paying 308 a month and got a brand new 2011 pb evo x gsr with ss and interior package for 585 a month for 58 months. Let me tell you its a totally different car and i think the mpg on the evo x is better that the RA. I say if you can afford it go for it 400 a month is not that bad but you are getting a used one just make sure its not abused. One more thing the deciding factor was insurance was only going to be $97 more over 6 months.
