Hey guys, im looking to buy a brand new evo x tomorrow. Its the white version and comes with sight sound sunroof and leather.

I just have a few questions for u guys. First of all, besides the obvious, what else does sunroof and leather add to the car? I heard there is additional sound deadening, is there any truth to this?

I think if there is any additional things that come with sun leather, these would be nice added bonuses, so if you guys can think of anything, please let me know.

Also, how is the leather quality? I heard its pretty bad and will go to **** after a few years....Even if yoy take good care of it


Lastly, since im going to buy one tomorrow, do you guys think 37k out the door is a solid price for ss+sl on a 2011 gsr? My first choice was just the ss, but it seems they dont have that in stock.

Input/advice/opinions really appreciated!

 

First, there is more sound deadening on the package in that car.

Second, the leather is not AMAZING but it is not POS. If you take care of anything, it will take care of you.


I went with an MR Touring because in 2010 that model had every single option on it. I wanted the sunroof and full leather and ofc the SS and I did not want the spoiler so I went with the MR Touring.

Even if they dont have anything in stock doesnt mean they wont order one. You will just wait for it and if they tell you a month, they are bull ****ing you. When I got mine, they didnt even have a single evo but they got it from another dealer.

 

Yes to the extra sound deadening. Also has seat heaters and the fancy dual pocket console.

The leather quality is MUCH better than it was in the Evo 8/9 SSL package, it's actually surprisingly nice. I like riding in my friend's MR Touring

 

Thanks for answering guys. Im a bit confused though, isnt 37k out the door really good for ss and sl? I thought thats a great deal considering 37k is usually msrp not including taxes.

 

Seems legit to me, it's a fair price.

 

Actually after my brain working for a little bit (its a miracle), that is not a half bad deal. You would save 2k, $1.790 to be exact (according to mitsubishicars.com). Oh and you will want the sound deadening. Its AWESOME.

 

I like the leather package. Would have purchased the package if it did not come with the sunroof. Not willing to give up the Aluminum roof. I'll just have to buy the seat covers and door panel inserts at a later date. Good color choice!!
