Cobb Turbo Back Exhaust.

Has anyone got any opinions on the turbo back exhaust from Cobb Tuning for the EVO X? I like the dual tips, unfortunately Cobb says they no longer make the dual tip ovals which gave the EVO X a stock appearance and instead make a quad tip which I don't like. I was able to find some dual oval tips around the internet but was wondering if anyone had them on their car. I am trying to go for an OEM look and something that doesn't sound like a tin can. Just reading reviews seems like Cobb was the best choice, looking at some feedback from people that have actually use them, also any alternatives. Thanks.

I love mine. I prefer a more quiet sound that doesnt attract the police and still allows me to hear my stereo. Its a great choice.

I was going to go with Cobb first but went with ETS V2 regular, cobb seemed too quite for me. There is a mountain of difference when it comes to the sound. Supraboy1's cobb is quite and perfect for DD.

I would say look at the ETS v2 Quite or the Cobb. You cant go wrong with either. When I mean quite they are not like the stock one, they are quite compared to the gagilion aftermarket exhausts out there.

I love mine, a little quieter than most but loud enough when you get on it...you can hear it here :

plenty of other COBB exhaust sound clips on the youtube, nice mellow sound and flows enough to support bigger turbos and make nice numbers (see Supraboy1's numbers for example)

I don't think the quad tips look too bad, but do like the stock looking ovals better as well...so I know what you mean

No complaints with my Cobb catback. Very nice tone and volume.

Thanks everyone for the replies, I think the Cobb is the sound I'm looking for. Hopefully I still will be able to find the dual oval tips when I'm ready to purchase.

Have you called around to the different locations to see if anyone still has the oval version in-stock?

I was in the exact same situation, I had my heart set on the Cobb dual tip but waited too long and hate the new quad tip look. I decided to go with the ETS V2 Quiet and love it. It's the same design and sound level with the oval tips I wanted.

I've looked around online, found some places that still carry it. I was doing some research for beginning of next year, which is when I'll probably purchase. The ETS look good too, little more expensive than the Cobb though for the full turbo back system.

Anyone know if any vendor has either one in stock? There's a 7 week back order on these, that's nuts.
