Ralliart to trade in for Evo

I'm assuming some of you here started with the ralliart only to then trade up for an evo. I've got another 4-6 months till I can pay off the auto loan for my ralliart and I would prefer to have the title in hand before I make the trade. Any input would be much appreciated.

I knew I was going for the EVO but at the time couldnt afford it so I went with the GTS. I waited about 9 months till I was able to trade in for the MR Touring. I did have the title but you really do not need to. A buddy of mine just switched off the payment to the EVO. He did have the same APR so nothing really changed. he owed 4 grand on the RA and they just added that 4 grand on top of the EVO and drove off with the EVO. Talk with your dealer, if it is the same dealer that you got your RA from, they might be more willing for the trade but doesnt really matter. I only have 1 dealer over here so didnt really have the option to hit up another dealer lol.

As for input... Evo is an Evo, godly compared to the RA and yes, get it - you will not regret it.

do it. doesn't sound like you are too out of whack with only 9 months of payments left. they will take care of the payoff. as long as you have some equity, why not just go try to work the numbers. you will know nothing unless you get an idea of trying it. and yea it's going to be a great upgrade lol.

Do it now, might as well start enjoying an Evo sooner rather than later

Title in hand doesn't really matter when trading in a vehicle, the dealership does all the paperwork anyway and just deducts what you still owe from the trade-in value.

I did exactly this I loved Evo's before buying my old ralliart and I ad it for a year and then come time to trade in my ralliart they bought my car for more then I owed on it and also gave me a huge discount on the Evo. But I won't get into $ cause the U.S compared to Canada is much cheaper and people don't take that into consideration when I state $ value.

Use the trade in to your advantage...not the other way around. There not doing you any favours your giving them money so they should work for it.

I am doing this too! I currently have an 09 ralliart and have been looking everyday for a good evo that fits what I want.

If you have had a modded ralliart like a tune and catback is the stock powered evo that different?

If u only have 4-6 months left, that means ur RA most likely has some equity. That equity will be put to pay for the remaining payments of the RA and any extra equity will be put towards the Evo.

Either way, if u do have "positive" equity (u owe less than the car is worth) then the evo that u will get will be lower in price coz of the trade in.

Research how much u can get for the RA on kbb.com, and make sure the dealer give u as much, if not more than the car's value according to kbb. And also, make sure that when u r signing the dotted line, the negative equity (what u owe on the RA) is NOT carried over to the evo since it should be paid off with the trade in.....well, that is if you have a positive equity on the RA.

I don't like Stealerships, I worked for one as a sales guy and can't stomach the bull**** we feed the customers, so I switched department and became the webmaster

If u have any question, pm me or just comment here. I will gladly help as much as I can.
