weird noise (loose metal kind off)

i have an evo x SST 2011 that made 9000Km...i just noticed a noise from the engine at the opposite side of the timing belt and its most probably between the engine & the gear box (sounds like loose metal parts)...tried many things like increasing the RPM but it didnt go away....it only went away after i engaged the gear...the noise comes only on P...is this something normal related to the gear / engine engagment??

appreciate your experience guys.

I don't think that's normal.. I don't have a SST, but ive never heard that. Sounds like a tranny issue..

It’s normal. It is a coupling noise that comes from the twin clutches on all SST transmissions. Mitsubishi has a tech notice out on the noise. It is also noted in the owner’s manual as an “operational noise” that does not affect performance and operations of your vehicle. Hope we are talking about the same noise, it sounds like it is..
