Hello!

I was wondering if there are other types of in-cabin air filters? Maybe ones of higher quality than oem(if there's such a thing)? Also was wondering how much you guys were paying for them and if you can recommend a site?

 

I bought my Fram Fresh Breeze for about $20 shipped from RockAuto before the $4 mail-in-rebate.

I remember reading a while back that the filter we need is the same as a Nissan Maxima I think it was? Is that still right? Can someone post the # for the Fram filter?

 

Yup, same as Nissan's, but just look it up with the Lancer/Evo, they cross-reference together. My Fram actually came with installation instructions for a Maxima in the box

 

I just bought a new air filter like 2 months ago at advance auto parts for less than $20. easy to buy and install

 

Bought a Fresh Breeze at Walmart tonight and installed it in the parking lot. The one that fits is CF10140 and costs $16.95.

 

Thank god you can buy them at any normal stores who sell filters (walmart, kragen)

My 08 STi cabin airfilter was 40$ + tax, and was a dealer only part since th plastic frame that held it was a 1 piece design. It was so thin, it called for replacment every 2nd oil change

 

2005 Nissan Altima CAF works in the EVO X.

I use the purolator ones.

Just picked up one off rockauto for like $8. Fits perfect.
