Had a Major Transplant this past week

Hello all, just hanging around the site for about a couple of months now so I just wanted to share what I've done to my Evo so far.
I transplanted my RI into my EVO with Ohlins and Akrapovic with a KTM tune, can you see where I'm going with this.
I used to do trackdaz allot, so I know Streets and Big Willow like the back of my hands, well actually sliding from my back twice.
Now I'm just waiting for John (Muellerized) and his crew going out for a track day having him tweaking the binders a little.
I'm so stoked right now seeing myself going into turn 1 with a 3,000 plus lbs. instead of a 400 lbs. at Streets. I'll just have to see the comparison of entrance speed between both, but if anyone can jump in who has done both bike and Evo that would be great.
Well that's all for now guys, keep the shiny side up and sticky side down.

ive been racing motorcycles for 20 years..street bikes for 7...BUT i am going to pick my evo x up tomorrow so i dont have too much to offer other than the test drive i did. To me nothing can replace a motorcycle because its so much different then a car BUT with the evo it really does bring a whole new idea of fun to driving. It is extremely easy and refined and seemed to go fast without even trying..I consider myself a very good driver and a good racer so that may have had something to do with it but even a 16 year old could hop in these cars and go...perhaps thats why so many of them want evo's? lol. Il let ya know more after ive been in the car for a week. One thing i am looking forward to is driving in the snow with a nice set of blizzak shoes on the evo beast

May I ask how that exhaust sounds in person. It is a piece that I drool over cause it is so smooth looking. It will take some time to get that piece.

You can go to their web http://www.akrapovic.com/car-exhaust...ts/mitsubishi/ and hear what it sounds like.
I think mines is a tad louder because of the AEM but that's my experience comparing to their web site.

Does the akrapovic sound a lot different than stock in person? I was thinking about grabbing the slip on and then picking up the mid pipe later just so I can get the exhaust note. The slip on is still $2400

I had KT Motoring install the exhaust and after did the tune. My Evo now is ready for the track.

The exhaust sounds much deeper but not too loud for attention. It's worth every penny just weighing the difference between stock and how it fitted to the Evo so precision.

But it's louder then stock right? Even at idle?
