Like others stated, it probably came from NJ.

Read all about it....

Evo Xs are waaaaaaaaay too electrical... With that being said, unless you're making a full race vehicle, I'd leave it alone.

Yeah, would I sure. I'm actually looking into a 2010 that was stage 2 flood.
I probably wouldn't sell to anyone so the branded title is okay with me.

Same thing, dealer said cleaned up, blah, blah, blah.

But when and if I get it I will be ripping it all apart and putting electrical compound on all the connectors. And I mean everything.

We have had a few cars come to the dealer after the Nj floods. It's crazy how green connectors can be after a couple days.

If your not mechanically inclined or good at electrical diagnosis you might want to stay away.

Have you considered buying a new Evo? There is a dealership in NM that is offering free lifetime powertrain warranty on the last few Evo X's they have left. You won't be able to tune or mod the car, but I'm guessing if you talk to them they would let you put an exhaust on it.

I would not recommend buying that flooded evo because it's 500 miles away from you. If you have any issues, that will be a lot of miles driving back and forth getting things looked at.

I was actually looking into a used EVO X but then this salvage car popped up. Unfortunately, I don't really like the dealers out here as they're price floor is higher than quite a few places out of state. I ended up getting my Raliiart brand new in Colorado for $2300 cheaper than the used one with 3000 miles they were trying to sell me.

Anyways, It looks like I'll stay away from this Evo and either build up the RA, look for a used Evo X, and/or get a real job.

Thanks for your help guys.

My point EXCATLY... Even though if you're mechanically inclined, it better be a DEAL AND A HALF!

Another thing to consider, which might tip you away from purchasing this car (which I believe is the consensus at this point anyway) is that very few, if any, lenders will loan you $ to purchase a car with a branded title. If you purchase it you'll be paying cash.

Since you're in NM, you might consider calling up Don Herring in Irving, TX (the owner of the dealership is on here as DonMitsu).

Another thing to think about is if you or someone in your family is allergic to mold. They can clean it all they want but unless they completely replaced the interior odds are good you will have mold problems.

Is it the gray one with 190 miles? When I was looking they told me the same thing about the floor boards. I don't see how that can make it a salvage. You did good staying away.

Stay away from it! No matter how good the deal sounds, you are in loads of trouble if you get it. 1) No one will even look at your car if you want to sell it
2) Like others said, the electricals are going to raise hell on you
3) Friend has a life experience with a flooded lexus.

I come from a country with massive typhoons, and flooded cars are everywhere in used car markets. Don't say I didn't warn you....
