First let me start out by saying that it has a Rebuilt title due to theft. Car is an 03 with 86k on it. The guy had an 06 that he wrecked. Guy bought the 03 from auction with no motor/trans. Put his 06(Mivec/ACD) engine/trans in it. He said his motor has about 45k miles on it and the transfer case only has 5k on it. He was asking $12k, said he would take $11k. If everything looks good I'm going to offer $10k cash. I'm only gonna put liability on it and want it as a fun beater car, something I can have fun with and not care too much about it (unlike my 08 X).

Just got back from the drive. Looks pretty good. Clutch feels good, pulls hard. Rotors need to be cut BAD(but thats easy). Tires need to be replaced BAD. No hum from transfer case. No odd noises from engine or anything. Rear calipers are dark black, wtf? The whole instrument cluster is from the 06 with all the ACD stuff, that all toggles through fine. Has nice SSL interior. All in all it looks pretty clean. Still leary about a salvage title and a pieced together unit....

Haha well yea the X is gone as of Monday. And he shot down my offer of 10 and said 11 was his limit. Gayyyyy

 

what do you expect if you dont buy it somebody else will not bad for a evo to be honest i would say get a leak down and compression test done and if that checks out then pay his asking price of admission

 

Still considering... Do you guys think its worth that, even with a salvage title. I just want to be able to get rid of it for about the same price if I had to sell it. I dont want to over pay.
