Finally joined the EVO ranks!

I have thought about owning an Evo since I created the account years ago. I thought I would of ended up going from my S2000 to the Evo hence my forum name. Timing wasn't right and I ended up with a 3000 GT VR4, a 350Z convertible, a Ralliart, and now a 2010 Evolution X GSR! This one so far has been the most well rounded vehicle i have owned. The power even in stock form is great. The handling is what is really amazing. Together it makes a great combo.

My Dad and I took a 16+ hour round trip to Don Herring, Irving TX. The dealership experience couldn't have been better. Right when we got there, my salesman KJ was walking out the door asking how the trip was. Everyone was down to earth and very respectful. The owner of the dealership came out and talked with my Dad and I. It was nice he took the time to talk for a bit. I would refer anyone to them! I only have a few pictures that the dealer took and sent to me. I will have to post some better ones later. The car is in excellent condtion. Manuals were in the glove box and original mats on the floor. The only thing missing was a plug for the power outlet by the shifter. I didn't notice until after all the papers were signed. I got out and before I did anything KJ came out and asked if I had any questions. I told him about the missing piece. He just went over to Ralliart took that one and off we went. Probably one of the easiest and smooth transactions I've had. I told my Dad it was like Evo heaven there lol. They had the most I have seen in one place.

Right now I want to keep the warranty intact and will only do a few bolt ons. I am thinking an ETS intake for starters. Although the AEM is a bit more stealthy. What do you guys think?
Better pics to come later!

Car is fast as is. if you want to kep the warranty intact I'd suggest leaving it be. Because any mod you do I suggest tuning. So just buy up parts over time. and install them and tune them at the same time.

Sick car!

if I may ask.. why did you drive so far to buy an evo?

Nice pickup, you'll love it. It's a fast car stock but once you get used to the power your wallet will be empty.

Thanks for the responses! I probably shouldn't rush it and start modding just yet. Sev, I know my wallet will be really hurting, or my wife would hurt me, lol. It's a blast to drive and the WW really pops with the black accents.

h4ckluserr I live in the middle of nowhere in KS so I didn't have much choice but to travel. The closest Mitsu dealer is around 3 hours or so away. They laughed when I asked if they ever get any good used evo's.

Rough!

But the drive I'm sure was 100% worth it! I know the first thing I did in my evo was take a roadtrip lol. hit 1000 miles 5 days after buying the car. And then I redeployed and well... just look at my signature block. All of that was on this deployment. lol

Enjoy it man!

Haha yeah the ride home was the best. I actually traded off my Ralliart to the dealer so we rode home together. Even though we were both going on practically no sleep I could of just kept driving and driving It was good spending the time with my dad too. He said he is starting to get the fever now! I think it would be cool if he actually got one too. I will keep hounding him when we talk lol.
Going back in town it already gets a lot of looks. My mom said it looked a lot different than the ralliart. I think it does stand out more too. I really like the wide body. I told my dad the Evo is like my ralliart on steroids lol.

Same here... Took some pain on the RA but best pain I ever took. The two cars are night and day imo.

I had ecuflashed the RA and grabbed AP for the MR

Stage 1 tune is amazing bang for the buck and pretty "safe" imo even as far as warranty goes.

Yeah the difference is really bigger than I thought it would be. The Evo exceeded all of my expectations. Do you just plan on flashing back to stock if you have to go in to the dealer?

Thanks AV6JT! I'm just glad the search is over.
