You hit boost right? Mine isn't getting into boost, and in 2nd gear it goes into boost but ever so slightly it's had to tell. Then in 3rd, 4th and 5th you can feel boost above 3K RPM.

Watch mine and yours back to back. I broke traction because I'm hitting boost pretty hard and the roads are SLIGHTLY wet. There is no comparison. Watch the rpms from 3k up. Mine isn't stock but you get the idea.. I guess the vid works. It works on my iPhone.

I would take it to a good performance shop. I remember that you got into an accident so maybe the shop accidentally loosened a coupler? Was it always like that? Put an actual WOT video up when you get a chance. Could be a bad tune, but it usually isn't that bad unless you have an 08.

Either go to a shop or a dealer, if you don't want to put up some cash.

I'm still on my warranty and I've had the car for about 6 months and 4.6K on the odo. I'm taking it to mitsu on Saturday so we'll go from there. I don't have a video but I did go WOT this morning, same problem. If this problem persists after it's "fixed" then I'm gonna lemon law this sucker.

Well, to lemon law the car you have to take it back to the dealer like 3-5 times, or something like that, for the same problem. I think this is either gonna be a wasegate issue or a boost leak or something. It's not normal, but they should be able to fix it the first time.

Which is why I'm taking it to the crappiest Mitsu dealership in the state.

Is this thread for real? Just pop the damn hood already, it's probably something obvious.

100% agree!

I don't step on the gas and my doesn't go? WTF? What happened to the WFO video? I'm guessing your car isn't even broken in yet the way you drive it. Go out and put the cane to her then report back with the new video.

I came to a conclusion already, I did go WOT w/o making a video for peace of mind and it didn't boost in 1st or 2nd.

Problem resolved, thread can be closed.

Probably boost leak, I'm gonna check it out after work see what I can do myself and save the warranty work for more serious matters.

Save the warranty work? It's not like they're going to stop working on your car if you exceed a certain dollar amount.

You have a NEW car, which has a warranty. If it's not something super obvious, let them fix it. Their techs like getting paid, I'm sure

That's the thing...most of the time they don't actually fix the problem...they just say they did.
