The only way a boost leak would cause that bad of a power drop is if an entire hose popped off. That should be easy to locate.

everyone stop freaking him out that there is something wrong with his car, he was part throttle, it is IMPOSSIBLE to tell if there's something wrong with his car from that vid. there is no way around that. nobody on here know's what he did with his foot therefore we cannot know if the car is behaving normally or not.

Sev
first of all, you were making boost. trust me, it'd be slower than that at WOT with no boost. in our cars boost comes on fast enough that you don't feel spool. in wrx and sti's on the other hand, it has a little more lag so you feel the spool up, thats prolly why you're thinking you've never felt boost in your car. drive your car in third gear and floor it from 1500ish rpm, then you'll feel some spool up

secondly if you really want an opinion post a full throttle vid... to the rev limiter.

Yeah, I did do WOT but didn' take a vid. I did WOT a few days ago and I didn't really feel anything but when I did it again tonight I felt it boost and the car pulled really hard. So looks like nothing is wrong after all, maybe this car doesn't boost in first gear unlesss ur WOT?

It will boost but ever so slightly...even at partial throttle.

Do u hear the bov go off when shifting or letting go of the accelerator?

^you can't hear the bov with the stock intake

it should make boost part throttle or full throttle. from that first vid, i'm 95% sure your car is perfectly fine. But if you feel something is wrong with it, by all means take it to the dealer and have them check it out, your car being brand new and stock engine wise they shouldn't give you any problems. I'm betting there's nothing wrong with it.

Why don't you make another video of you doing a 1 to 2 WOT pull. Or even do it in 2nd or 3rd if its easier. That way we will be able to tell you if your car has an issue.

If you aren't boosting in 1st, you won't be boosting in any other gear either. Which means you probably have a serious boostleak, from my understandings is fairly common on the rubber IC hose from the factory.

this, and while you're at it do a full 3rd gear pull also (idle to limiter)

never heard of this and never had this... I upgraded my upper pipe 2 weeks ago, my lower is still stock... tracked my car with stock IC piping with no issue

^I've just read that on here a few times, I don't have any experience with boost leaks on the stock hose, as I have an ETS UICP, that I upgraded within the first month of ownership.

This thread gave me a headache. User error I'm sure. Like others have said - post a video of you going WOT, we cannot help you otherwise.
