Is this normal?

Check out the video, I was out driving my brothers WRX last night and I was just messing about and I noticed that it pulls rather nicely in first gear, but in my Evo it barley does anything? I just got nervous and I wondered if this is common amongst Evo X's or is there something wrong with my car? I have no mods at all, 100% bone stock and factory tune. All fluids are factory as well. First thing that went through my mind is an oil change and a tune.

Sorry, but there might be something wrong with your car. Mine is tuned, etc, but it should pull faster than that stock in 1st. You did bog a little, rev a bit more when engaging the clutch.

Uhhh...Something defintely does not look right! That is seriously slow, not trying to be a dick, but you may have an issue.

I'd defintely check for a boost leak, cause even stock it should pull much harder than that, also its hard to tell by the video, but it almost looks like your power is not coming on very smooth(could be due to the stock tune)
Just get a tune, and a few bolt-ons, it will be night and day difference. My car pulls way harder than when it did stock with minimal mods, and a good tune.

Ugh, figures. I wasn't WOT. what I did was pull to the side of the road, start moving like I normally would and at 2,000 RPM I gave it more gas, but didn't go full throttle. Even then it should be going more than 36 MPH @ 5,500 RPM right? I don't know wether to take it to the stealership or just buy mods for it? I don't wanna get screwed for $$$. :s

If you didn't go WOT, this seemed like a normal acceleration.
plus your car is 100% stock, which is even more normal....

Honestly, I've never really felt boost in this car come to think of it...as for miles, it has 4,6XX miles on stock EVERYTHING. You guys think I can lemon my Evo hahaha!

there is deffinately something wrong, if it is stock i would take it back to the dealership, trust me there is no way that you are feeling boost on that pull, it seems like a n/a 2.0 engine.

I guess I have no choice but to go visit those bastards, rofl. If I'm lucky I can get rid of this current Evo and get a new one. We'll see.

At about 3500 rpm you should feel drastically faster acceleration, but I don't see any change there. Definitely get it checked!

Since you weren't WOT I'd say that looks pretty normal, you gotta mash it to get ur boost up. Or are you sayin it wont rev over 5500?

Not trying to be an a-hole but why don't you put up a run of you doing a WOT run and then go from there. H*** my ES accelarates like that at about half throttle, doesn't seem right.
