SSP Undertray
Just kinda stand it up in front of the car but don't let it fall onto the car...get all of the clips in place and unbolt the crossmember where it mounts in the rear (3x 12mm or 14mm bolts, can't remember which sorry). Set a pile of bolts on either side of you and lay on your back, knees propped up. Imagine for a moment holding this thing in the air in front of you and pick 3or 4 easy-to-reach mounting points. Now wiggle out a bit, grab the tray, don't scratch your paint, and use your hands, knees, and feet to hold the thing inthe air (imagine doing the crab walk but upside down). The thing is really not that heavy butit can become a burden if you don't get those mounts in reasonably quickly. Just line up a few mount points...one or two on your right, one or two on your left. And at least one of the rear bolts...just thread in with your fingers just enough to support the thing and don't worry about getting the crossmember on right away.
Once you have enough on that it's not gonna bend/fall, let your arms flop down and rest for a sec. Now go back through and screw the rest in part way and once you have all in place THEN go back and tighten them all. Not too tight, just snug.

The one that has 3 bolts and connects two lower suspension points. It's not in the way, but its bolts are used for mounting the rear of the undertray. Bar remains, just bolt it to the outside of the undertray.
The lighting is bad, but you can just barely see it if you look at the back edge of the undertray on the pic I posted....here's the high-res version:

saw the cross memeber you talked about, guys if you wanan do it, go for it. it's easy to do by yourself, and super easy if you have a friend, I had 2 cause we were all bored. I held it up they each put bolts in on the sides, then i did the middle. took about ~45 min to do including taking the old plastic off and cleaning up
I got mine before I deployed since the stock pos was falling apart from nothing in particular but from daily driving. The SSP under tray is outstanding. It's well worth the cost. And I did an oil change with it on before I left as well and I had no issues of oil getting anywhere but in the oil pan. It makes the car look better and you don't have to worry about losing any plastic pieces. It'd be nice if I could show you what I was talking about.
How much did you guys have to pay for shipping? I was all set to order from MAP because I've heard good things and their site says free shipping on everything over $100. Well I decided to call and make sure that the over-sized SSP underpanel would get free shipping and the guy on the phone checked, and then assured me it would be. He told me I could order it online, but when I went to checkout it was charging me $90 in shipping FML. When I called back they told that the under panel did not receive free shipping.
The underpanel already seemed a bit on the pricey side so I didn't feel like paying an additional $90 for shipping. Instead I opted for an ETS FMIC from their black Friday sale.

I'll make an install guide of some sorts in a week or two. I ordered mine early this week and should get it in a week. On a weekend i'll sit down with a buddy of mine and put it all together. We are just gonna put it on stands and do the work.
I got one of these for two Evo X's we ran in the One Lap this last spring. They worked realy great to reinforce the front bumper area and likely we gained some downforce up front due to the cleaner air. I had my car gear limited at 165 mph at nearly 8k RPM on the high banks of Daytona's 24 hour road course. Amazingly the car was very stable at that speed with my foot to the floor where as other people reported their car wandering around if they didn't have a full aero package. All i had was the stock SSS wing and this undertray so was happy it worked out.
I might consider welding in a spacer to brace against the front crossmember then weld a reinforcing piece on the bottom to tie it all together. Obviously it would have to be quite heavy duty if made out of aluminum so I'm not sure if it is possible, depends on how far up it needs to rest against the steel crossmember. I suppose since jacks can be made of aluminum I can figure out what is needed. Then I can jack from the front center again which is more convenient then jacking one side at a time and getting jack stands under both sides for front end work.

The factory under tray has a spot for air to get to the diff I believe, its like a little scoop. I noticed this one does not have it, or I didn't see it. Will that create extra heat?
Looks like a really good fit, SSP makes good stuff.

The SSP Undertray vents really well. I've not run a thermostat or anything under there but the hood vents and the vents on the undertray allow for plenty of airflow. I've taken the tray off after running the car hard and it wasn't hot to touch nor was there much heat escaping from the bay. The front bumper allows for plenty of airflow and there is quite a bit of escaping air from the design. SSP did an outstanding job with this one so don't worry.
