evo dreaming

Hi all...debating getting an evo in the near future and very interested in the evo X

looking at these two - they seem similar, can anyone notice anything outstanding differences other than the year/model? From what I can tell, the SE is the MR without things like the touring package....this is a base MR so looks the same?

Also, i miss the giant stock spoiler...is it easy to get one added on?

I don't know a lot about the different packages because I got the base package GSR. But I do know that if your going to spend above 30k on a X, you should just go ahead and get a new one. Also, people sell trunks w/ the spoiler on here (or the spoiler seperate) all the time, it would be easy to pic up for anywhere between 300-500 bucks! Hope I helped a lil bit!

Maybe its just me but that MR looks a lot like an SE with MR wheels and badge. I thought MRs came with leather or leather/suede?

From the links you posted, here's my conclusion:

If MR > SE and SE (2010) is a model-year release before the MR (2011) and MR is $ < SE $, then MR > SE = MR wins

else do

Get the MR

end if

thanks guys! the MR was previously higher priced than the SE but when I called them and mentioned it, suddenly i noticed a lower price.

I am thinking I am just going to wait until i find an MR with the touring package - i prefer the leather and i prefer automatic since this will be a daily drive and is it in about 45-60 minutes of stop and go traffic a day

I daily drive my GSR as well and have no issues. The shifting in freezing cold weather until warmed up can get a little notchy but its not at the point of being annoying. I enjoy shifting and staying involved. The SST is an amazing transmission though. Either way you should be really happy.

Although ideally this might be true, the most important thing when dealing with the used Evo market is what is under that hood. An MR priced less then a SE might have been horribly abused and modified in it's past life or vice versa.

In this case, both trunks have been debaged. Obviously not a deal breaker, but it begs the question what else was added removed, etc.

Just want to chime in on the SE's price, before tax & tags, I paid less than that brand new, and so did many other SE owners.

Something seems off with that MR though....price is also strangely low.

see i thought the MR was priced high (it was previously 34k not 33k) but given that it has 0 options, you can get a brand new one with 0 options for like 3k more (now 4k)
