True, but I read a lot of posts and have met several people who narrowed down their final car choices to those two cars. Before actually taking ownership of either, most of them consider both cars as equals in performance and modification potential.

I am in the middle of this right now! I have recently purchased an EVO X MR and my friend has an automatic 2003 or 2004 g35. He has been talking more $&!# than anyone. I have purchased half of the mods for my car and will have the rest at my local shop English Racing within the month. His car has been in the shop for months and in the mean time he says that he has purchased an intake, exhaust and supercharger. He didnt know that he would have to tune the car after install and he is getting everything put on at a detail shop. I have showed him all of the numbers on the cars including a full list of the parts that I am installing and the numbers for several similarly equipped EVOs as well as the article by Stillen about their G35 (With a ton for professionally installed mods). And he just keeps talking. We cant race right now as he doesnt have his car so what do I do in the meantime... its pissing me off!

Same here, I actually tested a 40th anniversary edition before buying my X and I would LOVE to have one but I needed something with more doors and AWD.
