What are all you Evo drivers driving this winter?
It's a very versatile machine.. use it for racing, show, or just a daily driver - it will serve any of those purposes quite well.
As a "car guy", I completely understand and respect either decision
BTW, do you live in WNY?

My commute is quite fun, even with a little snow.. hardly any traffic to avoid. Glad I cleared that up for you.
Like I said, I understand and respect that you want to keep your car nice and protected. I would like to do the same, but I bought mine first and foremost for driving.
If that's western NY, then no.. I'm around 200 miles south.
Winter's been strange here.. some light snow, then dry roads for a few weeks, then huge snowstorm for a week straight, then dry roads again.
DOT's been using sand/grit lately.. and every once in a while, they'll use a calcium chloride solution before expected icing, or salt during icing.
Anyway.. inclement weather is one of the reasons I bought an Evo. It handles it nicely. And as much as I love my car, it's a Mitsubishi not a Ferrari
ETA: If I had the extra cash, I'd buy an Evo IX for a winter beater just to spite you

These tires have been quite good in the snow for me the past year also! I'm waiting for the snow... I wish I still had a beater though.. or an 05 forester xt.. or an evo2
OP's exact question was..
I would bet money that you do. But I'm done, so let's hug it out bro
Happy new year everyone, drive safe!
My situation applied, and I responded honestly. You've added nothing to the discussion other than putting words in my mouth, redefining the OP's topic, and insulting all of us that bought an Evo to drive in the snow (and/or those that can only afford to own and maintain one vehicle - or those that find it infeasible otherwise). I do not consider myself "hardcore" for driving my stock Evo in the snow.. again, it was just one of the reasons for my purchase. Geez, buying an AWD car that handles good in the winter and is fun to drive in the summer.. crazy, huh?

And your failure to comprehend the conversation does not equate to intellectual dishonesty on my part. I have no desire to mislead you or anyone else here.
Pot.. kettle. Every post I've seen of yours has either been incitive or has ended in an off-topic argument. And yes, it is my fault for not being smart enough to just leave any discussion you enter

Kay folks, let's move along.. my apologies for continuing a pointless pissing-match in an otherwise interesting thread.
Excuse me. You quoted my comment to the OP and then replied to it as if it was meant for you. It wasn't. Now you're trying to spin the event to your favor. This almost defines the concept of intellectual dishonesty.
I'm not your bro, I have no desire to argue with you, and I really wish you'd stop trying to troll me.

In the winter usually "the meant to be driven in the winter" is basically means crawling in the traffic, if you lucky not behind the Truck which is spreads the salt rocks in 3 feet high and 16 feet wide on the road ...

Snow commute is a joke in the states, period.
The best about this type of comments from some people, is the couple hardly earned donuts in the mall parking lot at night... That is basically the "meant to be drive in the snow"... but that is a BIG if also in most cases....

So really "the meant to be driven" is not exactly what some try to glorify it. Specially in the winter.
Some guys doing winter RallyX's which is a great stuff, i try to make one of the CT one this month to see how they really are.

I hope i will see some evos out there
