Only problem I have is funds.
Lol. From my original I guess let me reclarify. My wife supports me 100% with my hobbies, I get car parts and track gear from her for bdays and anniversaries like many of you. Thats why I said build a track car (not street legal) and leave the x stock. Its a really good car out of the box. I know everything can always be improved upon. I guess I should have 3 cars, one track car, 1 modded x for weekends and texas hill country, and 1 daily commuter. That would be ideal, but not practical for me I guess.

I definitely know what you mean. The few times I've put a car back to stock to sell I was pleasantly surprised at how nice they were to drive. The problem is that feeling wears off and you want a little more, then a little more and before you know it you’ve been through 3 turbos because the first 2 were too small.

For me it's about finding the balance between that stock like comfort and decent performance. Unfortunately for me it meant selling my X and getting a 335D.

My intent was to stay stock, when I bough my IX. My previous modding experiences weren't always favorable, I was happy with the car as it stood and I bought the car to keep, so durability, longevity, reliability and drivability were paramount. I've modded it slightly, a MBC, an exhaust, and a tune. The car looks stock, including the engine bay. I've considered going back to the stock exhaust and slightly detuning the car as a result, and I may one day.

I did. Full bolt-on to 100% stock. Only because I had to get warranty repair. I dont mind stay with stock during winter time. But when summer comes, going back to dark side. I am saving cash since went back to stock

It still puts a smile in face when I throw it around.

Has anyone else done this, or am I the only crazy one?
I think it so funny how some of us who have a bunch of repsonibilities (gf's, weddings, mortgages ) rationalize spending on our Evo. Sometimes it is hard and stressful as hell but Fuc# is it fun. I think the smile on your face right now is from seeing all the money your in bank account 😉

I lurk every so often. Ever since OT and TBR went soft and kept giving me warnings for posting funny/graphic pictures, I hang out on other private forums where they have a sense of humor.
