Have You Ever Gone Back To Stock
+1
My wife understands that my car is my hobby and I'm so luck that she actually supports it. Ill be looking at car parts online and she will just walk in and ask "so when are you ordering these" or "why havent you ordered your parts already" lol.
Only problem I have is funds.

I definitely know what you mean. The few times I've put a car back to stock to sell I was pleasantly surprised at how nice they were to drive. The problem is that feeling wears off and you want a little more, then a little more and before you know it you’ve been through 3 turbos because the first 2 were too small.
For me it's about finding the balance between that stock like comfort and decent performance. Unfortunately for me it meant selling my X and getting a 335D.

My intent was to stay stock, when I bough my IX. My previous modding experiences weren't always favorable, I was happy with the car as it stood and I bought the car to keep, so durability, longevity, reliability and drivability were paramount. I've modded it slightly, a MBC, an exhaust, and a tune. The car looks stock, including the engine bay. I've considered going back to the stock exhaust and slightly detuning the car as a result, and I may one day.

love it! if i go along with this, i should get myself a Ducati this weekend!
I did. Full bolt-on to 100% stock. Only because I had to get warranty repair. I dont mind stay with stock during winter time. But when summer comes, going back to dark side. I am saving cash since went back to stock
"you cant swim!!" ... Wakeboard boat
"you over heat easy!!" ... Sand rail (desert gets hot... Work with me)
"you have asthma!!" ....lance armstrong's touring bike
Eat it nay Sayers! Lolz.
The reason I ask this is because I decided to go back to stock. After having bolt ons, I kept rationalizing adding more and more to the car. I had to make a decision, build a full on track car and leave the daily x alone, or continue to drive my wife crazy with a But I forgot how good this car really is from the factory. It still puts a smile in face when I throw it around.
Has anyone else done this, or am I the only crazy one?
