If you have the money and you're not too fussed about how much you spend, go new. **** knows what's happened in pre owned cars.

I don't think the Evo is worth buying used... I don't know your specific situation but when I was buying mine a year ago a 2008 with 30k miles was 30-32k (within 500 miles of me anyway), I bought my new 2011 for 35k... 3 years of abuse and 30k miles is worth more than 3-5k for me...

From what I can find out , near new Evo X here in New Zealand is about $48k , but I have seen a person who is selling his Evo X for $32k that has done about $60k km , said he was going over sea , urgent sell ~ hum..... I dont know much about the price figures if its reasonable

I've seen a 2011 NZ new for 75ish k on trademe. The 32k one is a blue one? I reccomended that one to a friend of mine but he got a JDM 8 MR. 32k is a really good price for an X in NZ.

32 is less than what 9s are worth at the moment. My mate offered 32 for one of the *genuine* () 9 FQ 360s and got told he's not going to let it go for less than 36.

An X for 32 is likely to appreciate after you buy it. I paid 28 for my wagon and there's one on trademe with near double my mileage asking 30.

I see , are you planning to get a Evo X too ? the moment when I started to enjoy Evo is when my mate threw me his Evo 8 keys and ask me to sell the car for him and I can use it too , cause he needs to go back to china urgently.

It was a great fun ~ alot of power out of all the cars I have driven , kept it for 6 month and sold it for him

I would've made an offer for 30 for that X if it was available when I was buying. All the others were around 38+. More than I wanted to spend. I'm pretty stoked with my wagon so I'm going to keep it for a while, unless someone offers me 40k for it or something .

I do check out the evos on trademe quite often to see what prices are doing.

I would say new. Used ones with low mileage tend to hold their value from what I have seen. For 4-5k more you know it hasn't been beaten to death or modded and abused.

Buy new. Too many idiots out there that don't know what they're doing or don't know how to maintain a car. Too much risk IMO.

I feel the same way, I debated for a long time before I just decided the extra money was worth spending to confirm I was gonna get a car that wasn't abused.
