What not to do, still appalled I did it.

05 RS, 330whp, volks. Dream car, was a rocket and a beautiful car. For unknown reasons I woke up and traded it for an STI. 3yrs later I erased my mistake and have an EVO X, now building it.

Theirs a thread with someone considering or already did the same thing, I'm here shame and all to warn anyone, any tools like myself about to blow it, just say No!

Being the owner of both, if you're a keep cars stock type of person, doesnt matter much and the STI actaully has noticable softer ride and cleaner hit throught gears, less turbo lag (a touch). You want fast, you mod, dont be a tool and get one, you will literally cry.

here's the dope RS I traded for a slowbaru, lame lame lame. I'm back now, mistake was made, an expensive one in mods and all around but anyway...

Don't beat yourself up. A lot of us have done it. I had an VIII with full bolt ons that I still regret selling. But like you I'm now in a X.

If nothing else, I have a better appreciation this time around.

LOL i almost bought an 07 sti before i bought the evo. It was cheap low miles and i was coming off the sale of my WRX swap gc. Something inside me told me to hold off for the bigger turbo and i am glad i did.

I always liked the STI. Though about getting one before the Evo. Glad I didn't. A friend of mine had cylinder #4 go out on him. Cost him $8500.

At least you got to try a different car. I went from X to another X, but the experience from SST to manual is completely different

Man, I had an Evo VIII that I bought in 2003. Owned it for 5 years then got married, and sold it for a Mazdaspeed3. Great car, but there's a big difference between 0 to 60 in 4.9 seconds and 5.9 seconds. FWD and AWD.
I sold my speed3, divorced my wife and now am getting an Evo X.

Once you own an Evo, no other car compares. Ever. And I've driven S4s, STIs and M3s.

I've always liked the look of the Suby's, but yours next to your RS looks like poop!
