Can I get a loan on little credit?

Before applying for loans it wouldnt hurt to call some banks and credit unions and tell them the situation before they actually check the report. I am sure an experienced person in the loan dept could tell you if they felt it was worth pursuing.

My credit union right now as 60 month auto loans on used cars for 2.9%. That is a damn good rate! But my 3 cars are paid off. Sorta makes me wonder if it is a good time to trade the wife's Corolla on a new SUV. ha

This actually works if you call the banks/credit unions... don't try it with the dealership cause they'd want to run your credit regardless... remember they're in the business to sell you that car at whatever cost (to you!)
