Hey Guys,

Anyone know what brand/make this gauge pod is? or is it customized?

I have never seen that one before! I can't tell if the whole trim panel is replaced or if they inserted 3 holders. Either way, i don't know if that would be a practical spot. You would always have to be looking to the right to view them. The best gauge pod i have seen to date is one made by AMI. It was a custom molded piece to replace, not cover the factory A pillar. I don't believe they are being made anymore though

serious08 (not sure if he was a member on this forum or another) , one of the people who had the first 08 turbo lancer from road race made a gauge pod just like this and IIRC sold or was considering selling the production "rights" to Road Race...

here is the one serious08 made

"Tuners, up for sale is a custom carbon fiber gauge pod that I designed. I had it sent to Road Race (along with the tweeter pod I designed) and had them produce it for me."

if you look at roadraces page they do produce and sell the tweeter pod for the door so they might be able to make this if there is enough interest.

I would buy the one the OP linked. I think it's snazzy and not as bulky as the second posted one. If they were willing to make one and sell it, I'd buy.

The one in the OP's link involves modification to the dash itself. That's the only way the gauges would fit.

I dont prefer gauges that pull your eyes too far from the road. I would look into a pillar gauge

Yeah, I actually have the rexspeed dual gauge cover, but haven't installed it yet. I like having stuff up where I can watch the road, but the OPs link I think is better then the gauges being under the HVAC controls (or like me with an 11 I cant put anything there because I have the compartments with the doors)

Wish the aftermarket would come up w/some newer HUD technology to just project all that shiz up on the windshield.

I rarely look down at the tach & speedo as it is, so I'm sure I'd probably just ignore any other gauges that weren't directly in line-of-sight.

Something similar in idea to the Defi VSD, but more OEM-looking, like the new BMW full color head-up display..
