My 2012 WW GSR has 846 miles on it and it has been grinding the synchros from day one in 2 and 3 gear (especially when cold). Added a weighted shift knob, helped a bit. Now waiting on Works bushings and short shifter + Redline cocktail replacement to see, but from my experience the 2012 is just like the older X's I read about.

My 2012 has 540 miles now and since I bought it, 3rd gear is slightly notchy.

I had an 08 MR and traded it in for an 11 MR. They smoothed out the transmission for sure.
Not sure how, but it was real noticable when I first bought it. Especially 1 into 2.

i have an 11' gsr and did you just say they smoothed it out? Lol if it gets worse then this then i really should be happy i guess cuz it feels terrible:/ Went to the dealer today and as usual they just did the "oh yeah no it feels good its supposed to happen", so then i asked them to drive it again with me in the car, i tell the guy to shift at 3k rpms, he shifts way higher the first few times but finally gives in and shifts at 3k and the grind was so loud i could clearly hear it and we had the radio on, he just had a retarded smirk on his face and said " yeah man it feels really good nothing wrong just the gates are a little loud."

I was just like.... >.>

Apparently redline cocktail or amsoil trans flush plus ams bushings will fix it, but if i put bushings in they said itll void my warranty so now im just like...whatever :/

The dealers always say doing anything other than stock will void your warranty; they do this to scare you. There is a Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act passed a while back protecting consumers; of course the dealer could always deny service due to a customization and you'd have to fight it.

I'd suggest swapping out your fluids first to see if you get any improvement. Did you buy the car new? Have you tracked or dragged it? When you drain the fluid look for metal shards, not sure if the cap on the X is magnetized or not.

I test drove a 2012 GSR last weekend and I thought the transmission felt great. Super smooth, easy shifts. It was slightly notchy but it felt good.
