Hey guys, I blew my transmission a little while back and I was needing to find the cheapest alternative and what I should do about it.
The guys told me i broke the 3rd and 4th syncro and that there are some teeth missing from the same gears.
I was hoping to just find a stock pull out but no one has any on ebay and this was the last place I thought to look when it should've been the first.

Send it to Jack's or Sheppard and have it rebuilt. It's like $1,300 for a rebuilt plus broken parts.

 

yeah I was thinking that'd be the best option but I was hoping to maybe find a pull out part too. They're usually pretty cheap but I guess jack's or shep will be my way to go.

 

Yea a salvage tranny for and evo x will still be pretty expensive since there still pretty new cars.

 

also don't forget center diff pin failure is fairly common. even getting a used one is worth a build to avoid future problems.

 

did they open the transmission up?
its fairly uncommon to see broken teeth in these.
how did you break it?
