Girl had a Change of Heart.
Trying to get the ladies to understand the evo is like trying to turn water into gold.
Wifey had a small accident in her Maxima about a week ago when a Ford Escord rear ended her while waiting to make a right turn. Her car is currently in a body shop getting repaired. Since then, the only way for us to get to work on time is for her to drive me to work, then pick me up afterwards. To tell you the truth, i wasn't really happy about that.
After about a week of her driving the Evo, she absolutely loves the car. She takes back everything bad she had ever said about spending money on the car for parts, carbon, wheels, etc haha. She texts me one day while at work with "can we trade the Maxima once we get it back for a blue one? (mines white btw) lol.
Now it seems like were going to have 2 Evo's in our garage.
Success.

NEVER let your girl/wife drive your X. It is ALWAYS a bad idea.
My wife works for a bank and one day one of her sub (she's a mid.level manager) recognized my car in one of the pictures she has on her desk. He told her that it was the fastest thing he's ever been in. Turned out that he got to ride shotgun one of those times when I go to a local meet. She was asked to bring it to work every so often when they have outtings. She could drive the stick almost as well as I am. 
And no dude! my girls actually pretty good at driving stick, she just never felt the need to drive my car until the accident happen. She learned how to drive on a 2000 Tacoma 5 speed lol.
Heh we went through the same thing. We sold my wife's lancer. She drove my evo for over a month. Then she wanted one badly. We wanted to get a IX / VIII for her but couldn't find any that were reasonably priced or not beaten to hell.
She is really good at driving a stick. She can rev match better than most guys I've met.

Fortunately mine loves my Evo. And she cant drive to save her life. And she isnt allowed to touch my car other than sit in it and look pretty.
As far as trying to justify things to her, or have her like the things I do I dont care. Why would I?
Would I expect her to want me to like tupperware parties, baby showers, and shopping? Heck no!
Shes been informed if she doesnt like the way I take care of her and the home, she is welcome to find some other old fart to do it.
Maybe somebody who drinks a lot, and whos life ambition is a dart league. Or owns a bass boat and spends tens of thoasands of dollars campaigning it every year.

Girls driving evos ftw! I still haven't let anyone drive my car since I've had it even though My gf knows how to drive a 5 speed.
