3.5k for daily, 7k on the track. Agrresive driving i guess is 5k

i try to stick with what the manual tells me. 1-2 at 15mph, 2-3 at 25, 3-4 at 40, and 4-5 at 45.

normal approx 3k, agressive 5k, racing 7-7.5k

when its cold though, i shift anywhere between 2 and 2.5...and very slowly

I shift anywhere between 4-7K, depending on the situation and the mood. The car rarely dips below ~3.5K.

If you are going for maximum acceleration, you should shift at redline in the evo x. You should only shift early if your next gear change will land at higher hp level than your current rpm(notice I did not say torque). In the Evo, this will never be the case. This makes sense as the SS mode is set to shift at redline.

I shift at 4~4.5k nowadays, used to be around 3k. I found it's just easier and smoother to shift at a higher RPM's with our cars. Also the 5th turbo surge is just killing me these days. I do keep 5th gear above 3.5k all as much as I can, but the choke still happens a lot. My turbo is stock, and I honestly didn't notice this as bad as it is right now.
