Sideskirts & Headlights ???

Hey guys so 2 new questions from me

First off, what sideskirts are these? I know the front lip is ARP but i want to know the sideskirts i think they flow great with the lip!!!

And then my second question, can I buy a set of the factory SS hid headlights and then install them in my base model gsr? Will it be hard or just direct swap? I'd need the headlight level button aswell i assume.

Thanks guys!!

I think those are the 2008 stock side skirts. Mitsu went more aggressive beginning 2010 (I think) for sure on 2011 and 2012.

Not sure on the headlight part of the question. Myabe some threads on the electrical forum.

I think he's talking about the carbon fiber sIDE skirt extensions. I know rexpeed makes some that are a varis "style" piece and then obviously there's the varis "varis style" piece.

Chargespeed makes CF side extensions as well. I think they are Chargespeed not 100% sure. As far as the headlight question, try posting in the electrical forum.

Those are just side skirt extensions. To my knowledge, they will only fit 2008 side skirts and many don't work with 2010+ or looks ugly. OEM projectors are a direct bolt on. Leveling will work, low beams will be fine, and highbeams will work. What will be messed up are the DRL's. They will cause the HIDs to flicker. Only solution is to either disable them, or replace the ballast with a CANBUS system. Personally, I just installed an aftermarket CANBUS system into my base lights and the brightness and beam pattern isn't that bad! I can see better than when I had the OEM projectors which I thought were super dim when compared to other HID cars.

So aslong as the DRL are disabled the headlights will be fine? And where would i order the switch to put into the interior for the headlight leveling.

Also how about a NAVI into a base model gsr? Will work fine or will some things not work?

Link doesnt work. Im surprised not many people swap out for SS headlights :/

And yeah what the CANBUS system like? My last hid's the bulb didnt create a good seal with the headlight and it would cause it to fog from the inside from time to time, hated it.

If you disable the DRL, that's it you're done. Unfortunately it's not as easy as pulling out a fuse like on the cars that come with SSS. Base models need a relay kit to disable. If you go the CANBUS route, it's essentially built in Anti-flicker within the ballasts that provides enough juice to fire up the HIDS even when there's only enough power for DRL'S.

In a nutshell, they added capacitors inside the ballasts to be always problem free I've been running a CANBUS kit in my base model and my HIDS have turned on perfectly without any flicker issues as soon as I release the e-brake (DRL mode). Any kit without CANBUS would flicker, but can be remedied with an anti-flicker kit. Everything I mentioned is available on eBay!
