AMS intake FTW!!! That is by far the best fitting, best looking, easiest to install intake out there for the X. Nice ride!

I had a hard time fitting my CAI attachment on, so i decided to go with just the SRI version...filter wouldnt stay on. After scratching the **** out of the lower pipe and bending the filter i got the CAI attachment on. AMS said there was a fitment issue on there last batch so they are sending me a whole new intake kit...AMS FTW!

Alrighty quick update.

Just got home from long trip, drove from San Antonio, to Colorado Springs, from Colorado Springs, to Chicago, and back home to San Antonio.

First leg of trip was 12 hours driving in the rain, glad I did not go the CAI route like I wanted to.

At any rate loved the drive, sad that I did not run into any snow along the way.

As for the newest mods, they were good had problems with the BOV using cruise control @70+mph. Seems to flutter a bit at partial load/throttle, along with a bit of bucking.
Kind of annoying but it did only really do that frequently on the first leg of my trip.
the rest of the trip she stayed fairly normal.
Now to install fuel crap and get this baby a proper tune!

Just some info it was me, my wife and my 3 kids in the car for 3000+ miles stayed
in each city for 2 days or so kids had good time etc trip was comfortable for me and them at least they did not say anything about it not being comfortable.

Granted my *** did hurt after 1st leg. Here is a tip to anyone planning a long drive in the Evo (10+hrs) Take your wallet out of your pocket!

very nice. Unless you remove the plastic gsr cover next to the fog light, i cant see a CAI having issues. Its been raining/snowing here and mine is dry. What spring are using for the bov? I have the 8psi spring and i get abit of flutter, might try the -6psi spring.

I also have a update. AMS sent me a replacement pipe (the maf section) for my intake. What a difference. The old pipe had less then 1 inch to put the filter or the CAI elbow on, the new pipe has like 3 inches.
