bore/darton block sleeves
bore/darton block sleeves
hi guys, I have a question!!! why do people put darton sleeves in the evox??
whats the problem with only porting(bore) to 90mm the stock block itself?
if i do understand how the darton sleeves work.....you have to take out the stock block cylinder and then you put those darton sleeves in.......and if you want a 2.2 you have to bore those darton sleeves that you just put in!!!
so my question was and is....... why its not good the bore the stock block???
if im all wrong could somebody explain to me please!!!
ps: im looking to go with a 2,4.....so YESSSSS i know about the manley stroker kit
.....i just want to know if i really have to buy some darton sleeves and to pay like 1000 for all that after all to bore to 90mm youre not taking out a lot!!!
tks guys!!!

The problem with the x is the.oem block is aluminum and cannot handle crazy high cylinder pressure before "venting" then block. In order to handle the high levels of power you have to get sleeves that are much stronger than the stock block.
