So flat black?

Edit: OK I see it. I don't have that gay looking chrome trim on my GSR. I always hated the way that looked on others Evos as well. Now that I spotted, it looks good.

ive looked everywhere and cannot find plasti dip anywhere. Are you ordering it online? or do your local stores stock it?

I get it from my local Lowes or Home Depot, but the usually only carry black.

You can get different colors online

I think it looks good. I hate chrome and anything that eliminates the chrome as well as adds contrast is a plus. I did the same thing to my hood scoop and I feel it enhances the look of the car.

Looks good! I can't decide if I want to do my front emblem. Already did the rear.
Have you considered plasti-dipping the ring around the fogs as well?

It looks way better than the chrome. I'm glad it turned out so well for you.

Do the Wal*Marts where you are carry the plasti dip? Advanced Auto carries different colors in some areas.

It's easy to do. Just tape off wherever you don't want it on the car. For emblems, a simple tape off will do because it's like a rubber adhesive when peeling off. It peels off in the shape of what your spraying so for example, the Mitsubishi emblem has grooves on it so when you peel it off it will come off perfectly in the shape of the emblem.
1. For applying it, just give it a light spray over from about 8 inches and go over it like 4 times. You will notice it looks splotchy but will go away with more coats just let it do its thing.
2. Repeat step 1 but add another spray so 5x
3. Wait 10 minutes in between each coat. Do the same as above with 5 coats
4. add 6 light coats
5. do again if not completely finished.

Hope that helps. Plasti dip is a wonderful invention. LOL

Thought about clear coating the front. Also getting crazy and plastidipping my bike haha. How does the finish feel? Is it smooth or feel like spray paint? Also do you get a lot of orange peel after it dries?
