I did this to my front emblem and it turned out pretty good. I put 3 coats on and now that its dry it feels smooth, yet soft and rubbery. There is no peeling either. I'm really happy the way it turned out so thanks op.

 

That is what am going to do also. Chrome belt line and Chrome ring in front. Just so you guy know you can paint over the plastic dip. I am also going to use flat black engine paint over the intercooler. Plus the silver pump line.
