On route to check out a modded X at a dealership...QUICK TIPS?

Hey I finally decided to go check out the X! I am somewhat familiar with the X, and I am aware that the transmission can be notch, but I am mainly familiar with the 8/9. The one Im looking at has 30k miles and has the following mods:

Just bring it to a decent shop that know's Evo's and have them look it over. Why would someone want to trade that in with all the money they put into it? Check the car fax as well.

Evo shop is not going to be a possibility. This dealership does deal with a lot of evos, so I can bet their mechanic has gone through it. I going to push for some type of warranty but I'm going to be inspecting this car myself, meticulously.

Well even with the warranty the aftermarket parts are not going to be covered so I wouldn't waste the money on that, like I mistakenly did.

If what you wrote is true, I'd try this approach:

"Hi, Mr Dealer Person, I'm here to see the modded Evo X."

"Right this way, sir."

"Thanks. Let's go for a test-drive."

(After test-drive.)

"So, Mr Dealer Person, does this really have a test-pipe?"

"Yes."

"OK, how about this? you sell it to me for half what you're asking and I don't call the EPA."

Hey guys, I just test drove the car and the tune blows, even though it shows having an AMS tune. They swapped the mbc for an ecu controlled one, and the idle is NOT right. It's stalling fairly often, and has trouble idling.

So I think I can just retune it. There's no noises, although it was a little difficult.

Here are some pics. It drives sorta good when it's not breaking up. It feels just like my 8 did when I put autolight plugs in.

They want 26,5. What should I offer?

Just offer like 24 haha. How many miles are on it? And what year? You'll need some coils or springs so you aren't driving a tank around. Looks like some powder coated rims?

26k isn't bad for all the mods and low miles granted that it's in good mechanical order.
