Never had a car that did this. It sounds like a very good way to find out a gauge isn't working.

I think you'd notice pretty fast if your speedo or isn't working. lol

As for sweeping gauges... it's interesting... but I could care less about it.

had it in my Legacy GT - kinda neat, but after a while you don't even notice it anymore.
