maf sensor cleaning

Just wondering what to clean the karman vortex maf with ,CRC maf cleaner says it should not be used on the karman vortex style maf sensor / mitsubishi

I was wondering the same thing.. a few 8/9 used this and were fine.. I think a few people that sprayed their 10's were fine too.. :shrugs:

When mine needed cleaning due to oil from the filter on the intake, I used non chlorinated brake cleaner. Maf has been good since.

I cleaned the MAF on my Evo X using standard CRC MAF sensor cleaner, since we don't have a Karman Vortex sensor; we have a hot-wire type.
