AEM Dryflow Filter cleaning question

Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone has used a home made solution vs the "aem dryflow filter solution".

I've read some stuff stating that warm water with dish detergent will do the trick...

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Try some other cleaners like Simple Green. If it ruins it, buy another filter and let us know.

Water is what I've used in the past.

Just cleaned it today and boy was it dirty. i watched the youtube video that shows the AEM solution being used, I just used water and dish liquid soap.

Note: Drying literally takes more than a day. I checked an hour ago and it still needs about a half day of drying.

We have a couple of K&N oiled filters. They take a while to dry and so we rotate them. Clean, dry, oil, dry takes forever. So, put the clean one on and put the other out to dry for a couple of races until it is time to swap them around again.

No, it doesn't have to be AEM. If you are tuned then your tune is sensitive and s expects to see a certain amount of air. I wouldn't expect differences in filter type to be material but would drive with a somewhat lighter foot until you get the AEM filter back in.

It seems to be around 95 percent dried if not fully dried, should I be concerned with hydrolock? (Its been sitting outside for 2 days and 1 night)

You're going to need a lot more than just a slightly damp air filter to hydrolock.
