Can the EVO MR be luxurious?
I've had an MR while in college, and like you I have a job after graduation this summer. I am going to trade in my Evo for a used E92 M3 when I start working. I want to have a more classy car with more luxury when I drive to work. The Evo is a great weekend car but can't beat the class and prestige of an M3, if you can afford one. You can find an 08 coupe for under 40k now...
No it's an evo... Buy something else for luxury. Be seriouse. It doesn't look sexy you arent going to drive away with women like you'd do in a Porsche or (fill in the blank). It's a rally inspired street machine. Drive it the way its ment to be driven, have fun, enjoy it. Want to cruise and have a quiet ride. Nissan leaf I heard was nice. Or for a little luxury the lexus ch200.

I personally don't mind the evo interior, if you want to mod then look at the interior as an opportunity to tastefully upgrade it to your liking. If not then I'd just go M3 if it's that big of a deal.
You guys make it seem like the Evolution interior is terrible!
Coming from a 2001 Galant, this interior feels like a God send. I'm sure if you have parts of the dash wrapped in leather, it would look incredibly nice.

I agree with this. I bought mine a little over a month ago. Luxury is all about what you're comparing it to. For $40k sport sedans, yes this is. Compared to a $60k+ BMW or Audi... maybe not so much. I like it alot though. No complaints here. The sound dampening is pretty good.
You mean that Lexus, Acura, Infiniti, Cadillac and Buick (yes, Buick) offer nothing superficially sporting in the sub-$40K bracket that competes with the hard, brittle, rattly, hollow-sounding, creaky interior materials used in the X? Seriously? Like on this planet?
I say get the Evo X and be done with it... I get more thumbs up from people in my past 2 Evos than I ever did in my Audi. The only person that I know that doesn't like the Evo is my wife, but she says it drives a hell of a lot better than my modified 2010 A4.
This is like buying a sink instead of a toilet for your bathroom.
Sure, you can take a **** in it, but you probably should have just gotten a toilet to begin with.
Besides modding an Evo to be luxurious, it never will be considered so because of the perception the car holds. Luxury is synonymous with brand prestige.
