Sure, you can take a **** in it, but you probably should have just gotten a toilet to begin with.

Besides modding an Evo to be luxurious, it never will be considered so because of the perception the car holds. Luxury is synonymous with brand prestige.
I have a terrible image in my head now

You want luxurious, performance and powah? It's not brand new but get a 2003 Audi RS6. 4.2 ltr V8 twin turbo with 450HP. You can find some with low miles and upgraded ECU, exhaust with 525HP. Awesome quatro AWD. I'm considering.

Luxury is overrated, especially with the premium price it brings along with it.

MR-T was designed for the older Evo enthusiast.

Which is why I want one.

Third pedal is not so good when you have bad knees, and the road noise of a GSR drives me nuts.

Take a look at the over-40 thread. There's a distinct preference for the more focused model designations. Makes perfect sense, if you think about it.

I was injured a time back. Sparing the details of the surgeries and the physical therapy, suffice it to say that I had to learn how to walk all over again. Went from a walker to crutches to a cane. This took almost 2 years. Saw a pic of an Evo in a handicapped space a little while ago. Just don't know what to say that won't get me banned for life.

I have a 2011 Evo MR touring with premium, navigation, etc and have been very happy with it so far. Has a lot more "luxury" than previous generations of Evos. I cross shopped Audi, BMW, and Infinti before picking the Evo. You just can't beat the level of fun you get with the Evo. I love having a street legal go kart. Very fast, amazing handling, and I still have leather, navigation, Bluetooth, fast key, sat radio, heated seats, etc.

I have to agree here. To each their own really. I am not going to tell people why they should buy a car, but it makes me cringe every time I see a review of the evo or some debate where someone is asking "should I get an evo or a (name a car)" and the response say "the evo is a beast but the interior is cheap" IMO Evo is bought for performance and performance only. It's a somewhat purpose built car. It isn't meant to do all things good, it's meant to done 1 thing perfect. But I could be different, I have had all the luxury cars. Swore I would never own a car that didn't have leather seats. Then I found the Evo and it all changed. I turned down the leather option because to me, that took away from the "one purpose" design of the car.

And if you do make it nice inside, you still have the ride, the noise, and maybe the rattles. Although I don't have those yet. Plus, as it has been said before, the Evo is just an angry car. It's hard to sit back a relax on a Sunday drive. It's Possessed! It's as if it forces you to drive a little more aggressive, especially in the turns. Every on/off ramp I come to I have to debate with myself whether the thrill of pushing the car to the limit is worth crashing it. And for the last 3 months I have owned it, the thrill of pushing it has won most of the debates. (It only loses the debate when there are other cars around me)

But this is MY story with the Evo. Like I said, I could be odd.

Maybe you want an Audi, Mercedes, or BMW or perhaps if you like domestic a Cadillac CTS-V or Chrysler 300 Hemi.

I honestly think if you buy the Evo for luxury it's too much of a compromise. It's too much performance and not enough comfort. Oh it's fast, make no mistake. But far from luxury in my opinion and even if you did mod it to be luxurious, it's still just a Lancer with leather and wood and not a luxury car.

Idk if it was suggest yet but have you considered a 135i or 1m? Pretty nice inside even though it's smaller than the m3. And a 1m will walk a stock m3 in basically stock form. Add an exhaust, chip, and intake and you have one badass machine that is pretty comfy.

Sorry i cant edit my posts on my phone but i wanted to add:

The Evo will for sure be the cheapest car to modify. Such a huge market for parts and reasonable prices galore. A BMW can start to get real expensive real quick. Dinan (or Dynan?) is one of the most revered BMW aftermarket vendors. Definitely expensive but not horrible. If you can afford the car and have another ~10k to throw at it, you'll have a beast of a luxury car.

The Evo was born from rally racing. Dirt roads, bumps, jumps, and hairpins. So when they design a car for that they aren't going to waste money or weight for wood trim, leather, or sound deadening. Our cars are heavy enough without all of that lol. If u want a raw badass machine that you can mod to any power your heart desires, this car is it. But you will sacrifice comfort and luxury. And trade off one style for another.

It all depends what you want. From what it sounds like, I think you should do the 1 series. Or maybe a 335 with the m package. Even though the Evo can walk these cars with a few simple bolt ons and a tune, it will never be as comfy or luxurious, or revered by others as much as a BMW or Audi.

Sorry I'm on a long *** bus ride so I'm bored lol. End rant. Hope that helped and wasn't too repetitive.
