Baby car seats and strollers for X
I have the racaro one too. Had my girl in it at from couple months till now , she's 2 and still plenty room to grow. I also have the safety first one in my jeep it's got cool air head restraints.
Ask me how I know.
I like the air65 but it definitely doesn't have the side protection that the recaro has. Also the fact that it's a recaro and matches the front seats! The air65 is pretty good, but since our rear seats slope down so much, I had to roll up a couple towels to get the seat at a 45 degree angle (I'd imagine that you would have to do this with most rear facing seats on the Evo).
I have a Recaro Proride. I'll tell you this.. You'll need to remove your rear headrest. The Recaro is HUGE. But, you can't beat side impact protection and the bling factor of matching seats. It also holds a rediculous amount of weight and is convertable.
For a stroller, I just use a small stroller with a clip on umbrella and some baby sunglasses.

I have the Recaro Pro ride too. It's definitely worth the money, my son is old enough for a booster but still wants to use this car seat, it's extremely well built.
As for strollers i'm done with them, but I got this Maclaren Volo when my first was about a year old. I've had this stroller through 3 kids and it's held up. Its lightweight and it folds up small. Plus the handles are set high so its easier to walk around with. You can even find them at home goods or Marshalls sometimes.

Looks like a lot of folks like the Proride.
This is sort of a general question to all parents out there who didn't get the Recaro Proride when your baby as born ... Why? Is it not good for newborns?
Next, has anybody used the Britax Advocate? On websites at least, the Britax Advocate looks to have as good as, if not better protection compared to the Proride. But Recaro's website doesn't have a lot of info on the Proride (compared to Britax).

Cool. I guess you found the Proride after you had the air65 initially and decided to change to a better seat?
Thanks for the tip on the rear headrest. My main concern is fit and safety. I don't really care that much about matching seats
Thanks for the tip on the Maclaren. That's one of the brand we are looking into. How old were your kids when you put them in the Volo? I'm wondering if it would work with newborns ...
Thanks for the info.

I actually bought the ProRide first and then I realized there was no way I was going to drive around with that rear facing. It blocked out the entire rear passenger side window. You couldn't see anything when making lane changes. I bought the air65 as a temporary replacement until I can get my daughter front facing so that she can enjoy the Recaro and all its glory

Keep it coming guys.

I put my Recaro in the center seat. That way in case some moron t-bones me after he runs a red light my kid will be safe. Plus I can see out of the sides still and the back. If I want to check on what he's doing, I just flip the mirror down and stare at him throwing his juice and cookies all over my car

I've got the Recaro Prosport and love it. It is heavier than sin, so consider that if you plan on moving it between different cars. I went with the prosport since our daughter grew out of the rear facing seat pretty quick it seemed, and figured we'd never need to buy a booster after this.
Umbrella strollers are no sweat, full size ones are tricky. We had a Graco one that had to be puzzle pieced in just right, but it would fit. Couldn't get anything else in the trunk though lol.

OK, so I went to look at the Proride on Amazon and Buy Buy Baby. My wife and I ended up choosing the Proride. However, comments on Amazon and on this thread regarding the driver's rear/side visibility is a little dis-concerting.
Can somebody pm or post a pic of the Recaro in your backseat in rear facing and front facing mode? Do most people install it in the center or side (when in rear facing and front facing mode)? I would like to get an idea how it looks like and what sort of visibility would I lose as a driver.
